The birthplace of bouldering. Known for its technical slopers and "Bleau" grading, it is a rite of passage for every climber. The forest is vast, with thousands of problems across all grades.
2. Magic Wood, Switzerland
A mossy, magical forest filled with dark granite blocks. Known for its high concentration of difficult problems and powerful, athletic movements. Best visited in the summer or autumn.
3. Albarracín, Spain
Spain’s answer to Fontainebleau. Red sandstone blocks set in a stunning pine forest. It offers incredible friction and unique roof climbing that will test your core strength.
4. Silvretta, Austria
High-altitude bouldering at its finest. If the summer heat is too much, head to the Alps for crisp air and pristine gneiss blocks.
